    At 20 months old, Tom was diagnosed with Post-Viral Encephalitis. Later in life Tom was diagnosed with stage IV testicular cancer and given a 5% chance of survival.

    In this episode we chat about growing up, bullying, suicide, surviving Cancer and his amazing achievements in the world of running. Tom's efforts in raising awareness of Testicular Cancer whilst out running the length of Ireland or doing a Double Los Las Cymru race over 500 miles!

    As a coach Tom brings a holistic approach to running and well-being which he endeavors to pass onto you.

    On Episode 8 we talk to a friend of the Pod, Sarah Hallock as she's training and fundraising for the 2022 Boston Marathon. She shares what she is doing to raise funds for Massachusetts General Hospital Pediatric Center, along with a few fun stories and on  that you really can't miss. Interview with Sarah starts at the 21:00 time stamp.

    Eric and Erika start the show from separate locations for the first time, recording the podcast from their own homes. They check in on Erika's homework assignment and Eric totally dude crushes over his favorite YouTuber.  They end the show talking more Boston, Eric's texting the wrong person and Erika shares a story abou having to make a dinner reservation on time with a pretty epic chaffing situation making it difficult.

    Russell found the Paddy Buckley Round during Covid lockdown. Successfully completed the 100km route over 47 peaks of Snowdonia in the winter (read post here). Then moved onto even longer, harder stuff, i.e. the Dragon’s Back Race (post here). 236 miles, twice the elevation of Everest. It’s not called the Toughest Mountain Race In The World for nothing.
