Eric is one of the owners of Sweet Bloom Coffee Roasters in Colorado. Sweet Bloom is one of the best specialty coffee in Colorado if not the United States. Eric talks a lot about hospitality, merging two coffee shops into one, and how to grow well with your business. Eric is raw and real and even eludes to some exciting things coming for Sweet Bloom Coffee Roasters in the future. Business owners, specialty coffee follows, no matter where you find yourself there is something for everyone in this episode.

Scott Thomas with Freedom Hill Coffee Roasters has been a major motivation for me over the past few months. I remember sitting in the truck at my work's parking lot about 2 years ago listening to Scott tell me about his dream of starting a coffee roastery.  I provided what little info I knew at the time and then off he went. Fast forward 2 years and he has a 10kg roaster in a 10,000 sqft facility and employees.  His story is inspiring to me because it just goes to show that if you have the mindset and willpower to make a dream come true then all it takes is a belief in yourself and consistent daily action to make it a reality.

Tom is one of those guys you go hang out with and you may end up in another country looking out over a mountain pondering life.  I have always enjoyed my conversations with Tom and I really think what he is doing is what puts the "good" in humanity.  I think we can all do more and I know for sure that I can when it comes to helping those who create the amazing coffee we drink.  I just need to take more action.

What a fun conversation! I truly hope you make your dream of buying a coffee farm and creating the change you desire in Colombia a reality.  Your genuine care for your family and the people of Colombia is admirable and I cant wait to see how it turns out. Maybe one day I can come down there and we can ride "burros" around the farm and watch the kids explore. Hopefully, you will have your YouTube channel going by then and we can document it! haha

In this episode, we discuss the incredible journey of Tyler Ellison as he takes us on the journey of building out a coffee trailer, legal issues with the name of the business, roasting on the new Aillio bullet, and the battle to keep pursuing coffee.  I had a blast speaking with Tyler and I learned a ton in this episode. I learned a ton from Ben in this episode and the conversation really shed some light on how we can all work together to help coffee farmers earn a sustainable income. Hearing about the landscape, the people, the culture, the native language, and the laughter is what makes coffee so special. There is a story to be shared for everyone in the coffee supply chain and the happier we can make everyone's experience in that chain the better off we will be as a coffee culture.

The Democratic Republic of the Congo has always been intriguing to me. It is one of those places that still seem mysterious and unexplored. Pablo was such a cool dude to speak with and I learned a ton about Guatemala during our conversation.
