    • Neglecting health for corporate success can have serious consequencesPrioritize self-care and happiness, recognizing signs of illness, and understanding the interconnectedness of emotional, spiritual, and physical health.

Prioritizing self-care and self-love is crucial for maintaining good health and well-being. The speaker shares her personal experience of being diagnosed with cancer at the age of 32, which she believes was a result of neglecting her health in favor of corporate success. She emphasizes the importance of listening to our bodies and recognizing the signs that something may be off. The speaker also highlights the interconnectedness of emotional, spiritual, and physical health, and encourages everyone, especially young adults, to make self-care and happiness a priority in their lives. The speaker's story serves as a reminder that we all deserve to prioritize our health and well-being, and that it's never too late to make positive changes.

    • Finding Emotional Well-being During a Health CrisisEmotional support, lifestyle changes, and self-care are vital during a health crisis. Reading 'The Rushing Woman Syndrome' helped one woman recognize the impact of constant rushing on her health, leading to therapy, vegan diet, juicing, and regular yoga practice as part of her recovery journey.

During a challenging health crisis, focusing on emotional well-being and making lifestyle changes can be crucial in the healing process. The speaker shared her experience of receiving a cancer diagnosis at 32 and how the third doctor's empathetic approach led her to reevaluate her life. She discovered the book "The Rushing Woman Syndrome" and realized the impact of constant rushing on her body and emotions. After seeking therapy and making significant dietary changes, she became vegan and started juicing. The decision to undergo half the radiation instead of chemotherapy was a tough one, but she drew inspiration from her past experiences and the emotional support she received. Ultimately, her lifestyle transformation was dramatic, with regular therapy sessions, yoga practice, and a healthy diet becoming essential components of her recovery journey.

    • Embracing change and seeking positive connectionsFocusing on well-being and surrounding yourself with supportive relationships is crucial during life transitions. Seek out positive connections and let go of toxic ones to promote healing and growth.

Going through significant life changes and transitions can lead to the loss of old friendships and the arrival of new, more positive connections. This process can be scary and uncertain, but it's also an opportunity for growth and self-discovery. Surrounding oneself with people who have a positive energy and vibration is crucial for healing and thriving. The speaker's own experiences with cancer diagnoses and remissions, as well as the loss of her husband, have taught her the importance of focusing on her own well-being and seeking out supportive relationships. This includes paying attention to what we eat, who we surround ourselves with, and the intentions we put out into the world. It's not always an easy journey, but the rewards can be profound.

    • Impact of young age trauma on health prioritiesYoung generations prioritize cancer prevention and maintaining good health due to personal experiences, while older generations focus on anti-aging due to witnessing Alzheimer's and dementia. Individual responses to health crises vary based on personal experiences and family histories.

Experiencing trauma at a young age, such as losing a parent to cancer, can significantly impact an individual's mindset and priorities regarding health. For the millennial and Gen Z generations, who have seen their parents deal with cancer, the focus is on preventing cancer and maintaining good health. This contrasts with older generations, who may prioritize anti-aging due to witnessing their parents deal with Alzheimer's and dementia. Additionally, personal experiences and family histories can influence how individuals respond to health crises, such as cancer diagnoses. Some may be more receptive to alternative treatments and lifestyle changes, while others may rely on medical professionals and traditional treatments. It's essential to recognize these differences and provide support tailored to each person's unique situation.

    • Impact of mindset, experiences, and environment on cancer developmentAddressing emotional and physical traumas, making dietary changes, using supplements, and detoxing the body can support the natural healing processes in cancer treatment

Our mindset, experiences, and environment can significantly impact our health, potentially contributing to the development of cancer. This was discussed in relation to a man's story, who, after losing his father at a young age, may have subconsciously given up on fighting his cancer diagnosis. Research shows that emotional trauma, physical trauma, and even chemical exposure can contribute to the development of cancer. Healing from cancer holistically often involves addressing these emotional and physical traumas, as well as making dietary changes and using supplements to support the body's natural healing processes. Detoxing the body is also crucial, as it allows the body to eliminate toxins that can hinder the healing process. By opening up the detox pathways and supporting the liver, gut, and kidneys, the body can more effectively eliminate toxins and heal from cancer.

    • Focusing on reducing toxic load for better healthEmbrace wellness practices and evidence-based approaches to reduce toxic load and prioritize self-healing, instead of relying solely on medicine.

Our approach to health and wellness needs to evolve as the environment changes. The human body is increasingly burdened by toxins, making it harder to fight off diseases like viruses. Our ability to handle toxins varies from person to person, and the accumulation of toxins can lead to inflammation, cellular toxicity, and organ damage. Instead of relying solely on medicine to save us, we should focus on reducing our toxic load and healing from within. This moment in history presents a huge opportunity for individuals to take control of their health through wellness practices and evidence-based approaches. I'm hopeful that more people will embrace this perspective and join the growing community of those prioritizing self-healing. I've teamed up with Tony Horton to create PowerSync 60, a revolutionary 60-day fitness program designed with hormonal health in mind, for both men and women. Join us on this journey towards better health.

    • Managing Stress for Better HealthRecognize the impact of stress on health and prioritize stress management daily through practices like meditation, journaling, and exercise.

Managing stress is an essential component of maintaining good health and well-being. Dr. Mindy Pelz, a cancer survivor and health coach, emphasized the importance of stress management in her own journey and in the stories of her clients. She shared her personal practices, including meditation, journaling, and exercise, to help manage stress. Dr. Pelz also highlighted the connection between stress and various health issues, such as Hashimoto's, hypothyroidism, and celiac disease. She noted that while many people focus on diet and fasting as part of their health journey, stress often gets overlooked as the missing link. Dr. Pelz encouraged listeners to prioritize stress management and make it a daily practice, even if it means setting aside time for self-care and reflection. She emphasized that managing stress is not just about avoiding major sources of stress but also about addressing the little things that can add up over time. Overall, Dr. Pelz's message underscores the importance of recognizing the impact of stress on our health and taking active steps to manage it.

    • The Power of Nutrition for Optimal HealthFocus on whole, live foods and avoid processed, sugary, and gluten-containing foods for improved energy and health. Consider incorporating juicing for detoxification and digestion benefits, and remember to vary your diet for optimal function.

Proper nutrition plays a crucial role in overall health and well-being. The speaker shared her personal experience of discovering the impact of certain foods on her body and how incorporating more whole, live foods led to significant improvements in her energy levels and health. She emphasized the importance of avoiding processed foods, sugar, and gluten, and instead focusing on greens and other live foods. The speaker also mentioned the benefits of juicing, particularly for detoxifying the liver and improving digestion. She advised against relying too heavily on any one diet and instead advocated for varying one's diet to keep the body functioning optimally. In essence, the speaker's message was that paying attention to what we put in our bodies and making conscious choices can have a profound impact on our health.

    • Benefits of drinking celery juice on an empty stomachDrinking celery juice on an empty stomach can enhance its detoxifying properties and improve nutrient absorption. Incorporating bitter greens like dandelion greens also supports liver and digestive health. Choose a juicer based on personal preference and lifestyle.

Consuming celery juice on an empty stomach, ideally first thing in the morning, can be beneficial for various reasons. The nutrients are thought to enter the bloodstream faster when the stomach is empty, and celery juice is known for its detoxifying properties. Some people may prefer to break their fast with celery juice even if it's not in the morning hours. Dandelion greens and other bitter greens can also be beneficial for the liver and digestive system, and they can be consumed in juice or salad form. Juicing at home is a convenient way to consume these potent vegetables, but the choice of juicer depends on personal preference and lifestyle. High-speed juicers like the Breville Cold Fountain Plus may be preferred for their speed and convenience, while slower masticating juicers like the Huron may be better for preserving nutrients. Ultimately, incorporating celery juice and other bitter greens into your diet can support overall health and well-being.

    • Hydrate and mineralize with celery juiceCelery juice's high water and mineral content helps hydrate cells and improve overall health. Consistent consumption is key for optimal benefits.

Celery juice is more than just a trend; it's a powerful tool for hydrating and mineralizing the body. The epidemic of dehydration, coupled with mineral deficiencies in our food and soil, makes it challenging for us to absorb water and nutrients effectively. Celery juice, with its high water and mineral content, can help us achieve cellular hydration and improve overall health. It's important to note that consistent consumption is key, and individuals may benefit from incorporating it into their routine 5-7 days a week. The allopathic mindset of seeking a single solution for multiple problems may not apply in alternative health, where a combination of practices is often necessary to tap into the body's healing power. Ultimately, embracing a holistic approach and believing in our ability to heal can lead to lasting improvements.

    • From personal health struggles to business successTransforming personal challenges into opportunities for business and helping others can lead to success

The speaker, Alyssa, transformed her health struggles into a successful business helping others through food and cleanses. After overcoming her own health issues and weaning off a drug she didn't want to rely on, Alyssa discovered her passion for health and wellness. She started by creating cleanses for local restaurants and eventually founded her own cleanse business, providing 5 days of nourishing, plant-based meals to clients in LA. Alyssa's dedication to incorporating a diverse range of fruits and vegetables into people's diets, inspired by Dr. Terry Wahls, has made her business a success, selling out every week with an impressive 47 different types of plants in a single week. Alyssa's journey demonstrates the power of turning personal struggles into opportunities to help and inspire others.

    • Prioritize self-love, manage stress, eat whole foods, ensure sleep, and connect with nature for optimal healthSelf-love, managing stress, consuming whole plant-based foods, ensuring adequate sleep, and connecting with nature can lead to significant health improvements

Taking care of our health involves more than just physical nutrition. It's important to prioritize self-love, manage stress, consume whole, plant-based foods, ensure adequate sleep, and connect with nature. The microbiome, which is heavily influenced by these factors, plays a crucial role in our overall wellbeing. For those dealing with health challenges, focusing on these areas can lead to significant improvements. Self-love and a positive mindset are essential foundations for healing. Managing stress through practices like meditation can help reduce inflammation and improve immune function. Consuming a diet rich in whole, plant-based foods can provide beneficial bacteria and essential nutrients. Ensuring adequate sleep allows the body to reset and repair. Lastly, spending time in nature can help reduce stress, improve mood, and support overall health. As a nutritionist, I believe that addressing these aspects beyond just dietary changes can lead to more comprehensive and effective health improvements. If I could go back in time, I would remind my younger self of her inherent worth and the endless possibilities of life. I would encourage her to prioritize self-love, manage stress, eat whole, plant-based foods, ensure adequate sleep, and connect with nature.
