Creating Meaningful Connections with Loved Ones

Creating Meaningful Connections with Loved Ones

What if the key to living a truly successful and joyful life was simply about aligning your desires with your decisions and divine design? What if shifting your perspective could bring about new opportunities and positive changes? That's what we, Jana and Jason, explore in this episode of Living Lucky. We delve into the common struggles many face in relationships, especially within a family context. Using a fictional character, John, we offer a thought-provoking analysis of how miscommunication and misinterpretation within a family unit can lead to resentment and frustration.

The story of John, who tries to show love by immersing himself in work, only to feel distant from his family is relatable to many. We help break down this cycle, showing you how you can turn around such scenarios by aligning your actions with your family's needs. Additionally, we discuss Wayne Dyer's concept of "swimming upstream" and how changing your level of consciousness can help you move with the flow of life. By the end of this episode, you'll understand how you can turn your life into an upward success cycle by focusing on quality time and meaningful interactions with your loved ones. So, join us and let's start living lucky together.

Buzzing with Passion: A Deep Dive into Bee Conservation

Buzzing with Passion: A Deep Dive into Bee Conservation

I invite you on a journey through the life of a man whose love for bees extends far beyond the norm. Henry "Hank" Sveck, a veteran real estate investor turned clinical psychologist, is now dedicating his life to an entirely different realm - the fascinating world of honeybees and their conservation. We begin our exploration with the centuries-old tale of Hank's family farm, which has evolved from a bustling commercial orchard into a sanctuary for these enchanting insects.

We delve into the incredible biological adaptations that equip bees to survive harsh winter conditions, and Hank shares the surprisingly complex social structures within a hive. In an intriguing segment, we discuss the delicate balance between intervening in nature and letting it chart its own course, highlighting the surprising benefits of so-called "aggressive" bees. Our conversation then takes us to the shores of Nova Scotia, where an upcoming ecosystem restoration project promises a beacon of hope.

Wrapping up, we shift our focus to practical ways we can contribute to bee conservation, from transforming our backyards into miniature meadows, to supporting initiatives that combine tourism with environmental preservation. Hank's passion for bees goes beyond their ecological importance, touching on their therapeutic potential for people suffering from PTSD, and the profound spiritual connections they can induce. It's a conversation that underscores the importance of continuous learning, respect for all beings, and the power of the smallest actions to make a difference.

One Mama Midwife | Lauren's Tips on Embracing Dreams and Empowering Women

This episode is SO INSPIRING, you will just LOVE Lauren and her high vibe energy. We were delighted to chat to Lauren from One Mama Midwife about all the parts of her life right now, where she draws inspiration from and what keeps her going.

Lauren shares with us how she became a Mother at the young age of 18 and how her experience inspired her to change the course of her life to support women going through the same thing. Lauren now has 4 children, a successful business in Midwifery (One Mama Midwife) and helps women daily on their journey into Motherhood. She has such a positive and determined attitude to reach for her dreams and go for it! Lauren runs Antenatal classes as well as Caesarean specific Antenatal classes in her new studio, Sol Studio which she just opened as a part of her offering as a Midwife.

Some of Lauren’s stand out tips to balance her professional and personal life are:

    • Don’t overthink things, just do it! If it feels good, follow the lead and take action.
    • Trust your intuition and act on it.
    • Ask for help from family and friends and accept it.
    • Let yourself grow and improve, learn as you go. Mistakes are part of success as long as you take the insight and move forward.
    • Sit in gratitude when you’re having a rough day. Come back to what centres you.
    • Don’t take no for an answer, keep going, keep learning!

Lauren opens up about the mental load of the rough times in midwifery and how she copes. Her ability to look at the beauty in all situations and find light is truly inspirational.

We chat all things Maternal Assisted Caesareans and how Lauren has paved the way in NSW for women to have this as an option for birth. She single handedly created a new policy at her hospital to be able to birth her own baby through Maternal Assisted Caesarean. This metod is not only empowering but enables the oxytocin release and connection that Mum’s who have previously had Caesareans haven’t had the opportunity to experience.
