Building Your Streaming Audience with Kevin Breuner (CD Baby)

"The number one thing to never, ever do, would be to set a release date before your music is done."

Our guest on today’s episode is Kevin Breuner, Senior VP of Engagement and Education at CD Baby. Kevin’s job at CD Baby is all about making sure musicians are as prepared as possible when planning to release their music into the world. Marc and Kevin talk about how Kevin went from being a Grammy-nominated musician to working with CD Baby. Along the way, Kevin also offers up all kinds of great advice on being ready when you release your next album or single.

Previously VP of Marketing at CD Baby, Kevin’s new role reinforces what CD Baby is all about: making sure musicians are as prepared as possible when planning to release their music into the world. At CD Baby, Kevin created the DIY Musician brand, which has become the cornerstone of CD Baby’s mission statement.

Kevin came to us from Atlanta, Georgia

Feeling A Little Lost In Middle Age? Start Finding Your Purpose With Midlife Blogger & Influencer Tami Kraus

Feeling A Little Lost In Middle Age? Start Finding Your Purpose With Midlife Blogger & Influencer Tami Kraus

Tami Kraus, aka @tami.in.between, began preparing for an empty nest before her fourth child left for college. She knew that if she rested she would rust. So she examined her heart and found something that she could learn about and create to fill that space she knew would be open.

And her "hobby blog" grew to places that she didn't expect and led to new and exciting new things for her. Without planning it she quickly became a midlife & style influencer and DIYer with a instagram following of over 12K.

Tami is one of the most upbeat and positive midlife women that I've ever talked to and you'll want to listen to hear us talk about all the things, including:

    • How she discovered her new purpose after her children left her an empty nest
    • How she turned her "hobby blog" into a business
    • How she "learned" to do a new thing by asking and getting help from others
    • What she has found to be the most amazing thing about the internet and online connections
    • What it means to be a midlife influencer
    • What she is seeing as the trend in influencing
    • How to overcome imposter syndrome
    • How being authentic is the key to every success
    • The importance of using the new time you have in midlife and over 50 (50+) to find your purpose and passions
    • The time of the "GET" is over - and how it is now the time of the "DO".

I hope that you have enjoyed this episode and if so, make sure to go to the show page of whichever streaming platform you are listening to and RATE THIS PODCAST - I dare you :).

    Accountability: DIY or Need Help

    Accountability: DIY or Need Help

Hey  Babe  👋🏻  It's Jennie & it's time to live, laugh, Level Up - Let's Get Started

Accountability is accepting the responsibility of our own behaviors.

Ohhh - I know there are many times I  don't want to accept the reality of my own behaviors, but I had to or someone else would point that sh*t out in a milla-second!

But one thing I learn is getting organized with my thoughts, having that clarity and creating an action plan is the key to success. No lie, I just ordered new planners from Clever Fox Planners again #obsessed  (use code thecoachjennie for 15% off)

Here are the 3 take-a-ways for today's podcast:

    • 1) Understanding your goals / find clarity
    • 2) Reduce overwhelm by getting organized
    • 3) Ask for help or Learn to learn to level up by doing it yourself

Coach Tip: Brain dump to brainstorm - use the productivity planner to help!

    Thanks for listening 🎧
